Training for a 1/2 marathon can be daunting by yourself. But, with a group, it suddenly not only becomes possible, but life changing. Join us at each of our retail locations for our Half Marathon Training groups. These are specifically designed to make sure each and every person that wants to finish the 1/2 marathon will accomplish their goal. You aren’t too slow, too big or too old. (Aren’t these most of the reasons we convince ourselves not to try?!) You are perfect just the way you are and now a perfect time to start.

ULTRAMAX RUNNING 2015 SPRING RACE
This Ultramax Running is gearing up for our next group training race in the spring. And the winner is… The Little Rock Marathon and Half Marathon, March 1, 2015!
This is going to be a fantastic race to train for and complete. The marathon distance boasts the largest finisher medal in the COUNTRY requiring special racks to help hold up the weight. There are also race options of a half marathon, 10k, and 5k, so something for everyone.
It is a well supported race with many participants in every category. According to running great Bill Rodgers, “Any marathon worth its salt has a few hills. Little Rock is a little salty.”
The LR Marathon is a USATF certified course, it is a Boston Qualifying Race, walkers are welcome in all race weekend events, and if you are thinking of doing your first marathon or are typically stressed about cut off times in races, this one has an 8 hour time limit (beginning at 6 am).
There are registration limits and according to the website the race sells out every year for each race category and 2015 will be no exception. There is NO waiting list so if you are planning on racing, register soon.
If you have never experienced the group training/racing feeling you will be amazed at how much more enjoyable it makes the whole experience. It is also a great way to stay motivated and moving through the winter months.
