In Honor of the Survivors

Molly’s Miles 5K is a mid-Missouri race that is held in Columbia, MO & honors the survivors of law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty. All proceeds will be provided to Missouri Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) The event honors the surviving families and affected co-workers of Missouri law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty.

Walk-ups will be welcome to register at packet pick-up and at the event. Shirts and medals are not guaranteed for walk-ups or for those who register after March 24.

    11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.: Packet pick-up & new registration @ First Midwest Bank – Grindstone Branch (across from Walmart)

  • Saturday, April 8, 2017

    6:00 a.m. – 7:30 a.m.: Packet pick-up & late registration @ Boone Hospital Center – Nifong Medical Plaza, 900 W. Nifong Blvd. – If you wait to pick-up your packet or register on race morning, please arrive EARLY to avoid long lines!

    7:45 a.m.: Race introduction by Dave and Beverly Thomas (parents of Officer Molly Bowden).

    7:55 a.m.: Colors presented by Missouri State Highway Patrol Honor Guard; National Anthem sang by Jordan Heckemeyer

    8:00 a.m.: Race begins

    9:00 a.m.: Awards ceremony

    10:00 a.m.: Course closes

  • Packet Pick-Up

    Participants may pick-up packets at First Midwest Bank – Grindstone Branch (across from Walmart) on Friday, April 7 anytime between 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Packets will also be available for pick-up the morning of the race from 6:00 a.m. until 7:30 a.m. at the race site (900 W. Nifong Blvd.). Be sure to get there early if you wait to pick-up your packet on race day, as there can be long lines.

Course Information

The 2017 Molly’s Miles 5K will start and finish at the Molly Bowden Memorial Park at 900 W. Nifong Boulevard. The route is relatively flat through urban areas on the south side of Columbia. It is a beginner-friendly course with one Aid Station containing water and light first aid. Molly’s Miles 5K is sanctioned with USA Track and Field.
