1. Go Girl Run Series

2. TriZou Triathlon

In it’s 20th year, TriZou Triathlon has grown to be the largest pool swim triathlon in the nation. TriZou is also one of the most popular early-season triathlons in the region. This annual sprint triathlon is the perfect triathlon for those wanting to get started in the sport. The event is staged on the University of Missouri campus, with the popular time trial pool start in the amazing state-of-the-art MU competition pool. The DuZou Duathlon and SuperSprint are additional options for those wanting to get a start in multi-sport events. This is the ideal event for all multi athletes!

3. Trolley Run

Trolley Run is one of the largest timed four-mile road races in the country. The fast and flat downhill course is a quintessential Kansas City experience and a beloved tradition. Trolley Run is the largest annual fundraiser for the Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired. All funds raised from the race go toward critical programming at the center. Put this race on your calendar this season to compete in a unique distance for a good cause.

4. Kansas City Triathlon

The historic Kansas City Triathlon is one of the largest multi-distance triathlons in the region and offers a world-class racer experience. This flat, fast course travels through the scenic terrain of Jackson County, Missouri. With duathlon, sprint, olympic and olympic relay race options, this event is the perfect way to dive into the sport of triathlon.

6. Garmin Marathon

The 17th annual Garmin Marathon is here- a full marathon, half marathon, 10k and kids run through the beautiful streets and trails of Olathe. Dress in your best Wizard of Oz gear for this fun themed run. The city of Olathe is just 20 minutes southwest of downtown Kansas City, located in Johnson County, Kansas. Put Garmin on your calendar to experience Midwest charm in the Land of Oz.

8. Wizarding Run

Are you a runner that loves all things wizards and witches? If so, grab your wand, hop on your broom, and plan to join the Wizarding Run. Take a magical journey through your town with wizardly sights and sounds along the way. Distances include a 5K and a 1 Mile Fun Run. Costumes are highly encouraged, making Wizarding a must attend!

9. Joplin Memorial Run

One of the friendliest cities in America; Joplin, Missouri, is host for two days of competitive running, running related events and entertainment for the entire family. The Joplin Memorial Run was created as a way to honor the 161 people who lost their lives in the May 22, 2011 tornado and to provide hope to the Joplin community while at the same time staging a first class event that runners will come back for again and again. Those not from Joplin will feel like they are part of the Joplin community as the whole city gets behind this event every year. The event offers half marathon, 5K and kids run options making it a great event for the whole family. With a live and energetic atmosphere, this is a race to put on your calendar.

10. St. Louis Triathlon
